Now’s the time, the time is now”
Here we are, two weeks into 2018. A new year - a fleeting new beginning. We get the opportunity to embrace this newness at this time. Make a conscious decision to set an intention right now (if you haven’t already) to set an intention at the start of each day. Make it what you will, intentionally. When we recognize that in order to have a “good” day, we need to make it that way. Rather than waking up and seeing what kind of day lies ahead, we can acknowledge our own role in the outcomes we experience. I have observed that a regular daily morning ritual is the key to contentment; the key to learning how to sit - in meditation as well as with the events of the day, without being reactive. This is yoga. The asanas are physical exercises that aid us in clearing the chakras, finding flow, and making the body and mind limber and open enough to sit… but the yoga is in the sitting. Sitting is the challenging part. It isn’t easy. Wouldn’t it be nice if we could just set the intention, let it be and start to see the results without life events offering additional challenge? I think this is where accountability buddies and coaches come into play. For some, a community yoga class can offer the support and accountability to stay on track; for others, a little more push may be necessary. Wherever you fall on the spectrum, a daily morning routine sets the stage for a mindful, intentional day. Every day. Perhaps it is time to start (or start back into) a beautiful morning routine, including cleansing rituals, meditation, pranayama and asana. With so many distractions such as work, travel, and holidays it's hard, even for yoga teachers to stay true to meaningful practices that serve. I'm ready though. Are you? I am available to work with you one-on-one to create a routine that works best for you. We can meet via phone or video chat (such as Skype or Facebook Messenger). Using your Ayurvedic Dosha, your health, spirituality, fitness, and life goals I can help you find energy, mindful presence and contentment; side effects include looking and feeling great. Contact me to schedule a free initial meeting. Should you decide you are ready to work together, the cost will be $60/hour. Peace
