Lori recently taught at our studio and wellness center in Craftsbury, Vermont. Lori's gentle, calm, loving spirit resonated in all of her classes and off the mat. She embodies an authentic grace that was highly appreciated in our little sangha. We were so blessed to have her lead Yoga Nidra and guided meditation and be a guest teacher and participant during our R&R yoga retreat. Lori's classes are unique and powerful, fluid and serene. She is thoughtful and easy to communicate with. Her stories and her travels add an element of intrigue to all who meet her. I highly recommend Lori as a guest teacher and yogi and am grateful to have crossed paths which such a beautiful soul. Thank you Lori! - Lindsey, studio manager
Lori Dye is a gift to us at YOGA in COMMON. She reached out to our studio for teaching when she was going to be in Myrtle Beach, SC for a month in the fall of 2017. At the same time, we had a teacher who had to release two of her classes, so Lori took on a Hatha class and a Vinyasa Flow class. From her first moment with us, Lori's smile and gentle countenance were her signature. Every time she arrived, she was in a generous, loving space, ready to do whatever is needed to lead a great class. Lori teaches fully complex classes with classic postures and breath work and adds a few comments of inspiration, encouragement, or a meditation idea to bring the practice deeper, more inward and personal. Her classes are fully accessible to all ability levels. Lori is great at connecting to clients, chatting with them, getting to know them; that is an important component of our studio and Lori could do this very naturally, even in a her short time with us. We can't wait for Lori to return next year after her international travels. She is always welcome at YOGA in COMMON. With deep gratitude to you, Lori, Namaste. -- Linda Phillips, owner
Several aspects of Lori's yoga teaching make her a superior teacher. First, Lori herself seems to enjoy every minute of teaching, and that joy permeates the space with loving kindness. Lori also models each pose beautifully which inspires each and every student. She is not afraid to challenge students but never pushes someone to attempt a pose beyond that person's physical limitations. Om Shanti - Ellie
Lori teaches from the heart. Her classes encourage participants to challenge their limits while also holding space for deepening self awareness and self acceptance. A real joy! - Alison
I've attended both classes and workshops held by Lori, I have really enjoyed Lori's teaching style, pace and positivity. Lori's sessions are run with a soft comfortable voice, encouragement and kindness. I find her to be a wonderful instructor in both content and enthusiasm. Her smile and eyes are filled with love and peace. - Ray
Lori successfully and artfully combines both skills and knowledge of yoga with her warmth and connection to her students. The result is a class that is both appropriate and engaging, and challenging at the same time. Her classes are typically well-attended; her instructions clearly and creatively shared. A fine and dependable teacher, Lori would be an asset for any studio. - Jean
I attend the Hatha and Strength and Training classes that Lori Dye teaches. What I like about her classes, is she warms you up before the yoga poses and winds you down at the end. So no soreness from class but a good workout for your mind and body. She incorporates the mindfulness and the poses together for a true journey into yoga. I love the camaraderie of the class and the lovely tea she shares with us. I would recommend the class to all ages and levels because Lori is mindful of her pupils and gives alternate options if you feel the pose is to hard. Great Class overall!!!! - Nancy
I had known Lori for over two years and I have regularly looked forward to participating in her yoga classes during that time. I feel energized physically, relaxed mentally and in control of my body and mind after every one of her classes. She is a very skilled and patient instructor and has a superb and very pleasant and happy personality. Her yoga knowledge and skills are excellent. She offers very clear explanations and instructions. I have always looked forward to attending her class and enjoyed and benefitted from them immensely. I enjoy them so much that I wish that she offers a class every day. All things considered, I consider her to be the best among the teachers I had over the last ten years. -Raji
I have attended Lori's Hatha class for well over a year now, and I thoroughly enjoy the experience. Lori has a warm and inclusive approach to each session and makes students at all levels of experience feel welcome and encouraged. She fully explains the postures - both the position of the body and the benefit to be achieved - and reminds us to honor ourselves as we practice throughout the class. Lori's warm and caring personality make her class a highlight of my week and I am grateful for her presence. - Dayle
Great flow with a sensitivity to the participants in class. Lori's approach focuses on a path to inner peace by tuning into ourselves, where are we at? How do we feel now? Lori asks us to feel the poses from the inside, usually we feel it from the outside. What we see! And try to model. But Lori's gentle reminder of feeling it from the inside. Great way to start my day. - Steven
